I was delighted when in Novemebr 2015 former Prime Minister David Cameron agreed to my suggestion that we should establish an All Party Parliamenarty Group to focus on the River Thames from Source to Sea. To have his personal support and for him to ask me to Lead on the formation of this new APPG with John Howell MP for Henley as Chair, was a very great honour.
"It's very good that we've been able to set this up now because it's provided a parliamentary focus to look at what is happening on the Thames. But it's not just dealing with flooding, it's dealing with all the other activities that occur from the source of the Thames right down to the mouth".
